Glass Top Kitchen Cooking Ranges 

High-end cooking ranges have low profile, glass cooking tops.  Glass-top plates are bonded with silicone adhesives that are inherently heat-resistant. Momentive products, such as our SnapSil* TN3005 silicone adhesive, offer excellent performance in applications where primerless adhesion and fast, tack-free time are required. 

Coffee Makers 

Heat from a coffee maker’s heating element needs to be transferred to the base plate to keep the coffee warm, which requires a thermally conductive material to fill the gap between the heating element and metallic base, while a conventional thermal grease is used to provide the heat path. Momentive products, such as  SilCool* TIG1000 & SilCool* TIG2000 thermally conductive silicone grease, are excellent candidates for such use due to their thermal conductivity, dielectric properties, excellent workability and minimal weight loss at elevated temperatures.

Steam Irons

High-end irons require not only heat resistance, but also steam resistance for iron plate sealing applications.  TSE3260 is a one-component, flowable, heat curable silicone adhesive used for such high temperature applications. TSE3260 can adhere well to a variety of substrates, such as metals, plastics, ceramics and glass without the use of a primer.
