LIM™ Liquid Silicone Rubber for Fast Molding

The LIM™ brand portfolio from Momentive is a family of liquid silicone rubber (LSR) formulations for injection molding that offers elastomeric solutions for a wide range of industries, including automotive, consumer goods and health care. These materials can be injection molded and cured with very fast cycle times, and may enable automated, flash-free molding of parts. Overmolding and two-component molding of LIM™ LSRs with a variety of engineered thermoplastics may also be possible.

LIM™ LSR products exhibit high tear strength, excellent stability over a wide temperature range and good mechanical properties. The translucent nature of these materials allows for ease of pigmentation, and soft touch effects can be achieved due to the range of hardnesses available. Momentive's self-bonding LIM™ series of LSR products can enable primerless adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including engineered thermoplastics and metals.

LIM™ LSRs are a versatile family of elastomers, and can be adapted to a wide variety of applications and uses.
