Frequently Asked Questions About Paints and Coatings Solutions

Momentive’s CoatOSil™ CLEAN, CoatOSil™ SE 610, or CoatOSil™ SE 611 are silicone emulsions that can be formulated into low or medium PVC waterborne paints to enhance scuff-resistant properties.

Momentive’s CoatOSil™ PRIM-2 or CoatOSil™ 2059 are silicone emulsions which can be added to formulations to enhance hydrophobicity or provide water repellency in your paint or coating system.

CoatOSil™ SE 620 is a functional silicone emulsion which can be used as an additive in exterior waterborne paint formulations. It not only improves weatherability and color retention, but this solution can also help increase water repellency.

CoatOSil™ MP 200 is an epoxy functional silane oligomer that significantly increases adhesion performance and can lead to improved corrosion resistance. It also may act as a crosslinker in the coating system.

CoatOSil™ 7001LC is a low cyclic, silicone copolymer that can be used as a wetting or flow and leveling agent in both solventborne or waterborne industrial coatings. And it also enhances surface slip while eliminating craters, orange peel, pin holes, and fisheye defects.

CoatOSil™ P905 is a phenyl-methyl silicone resin emulsion that can be used as a sole or co-binder to formulate high-temperature resistant waterborne coatings for industrial applications. It also has been shown to provide excellent dry and wet adhesion.

CoatOSil™ PROTEC is free of unreacted isocyanate, moisture-curable, and may formulated into industrial coatings. It can also provide enhanced impact resistance and flexibility while improving both wet and dry adhesion.
