Durable and cost-effective abrasion resistance for leather and textile topcoats

Momentive’s Indusil™ 2670 and Indusil™ 2734 are 60% active silicone emulsions designed to enhance abrasion resistance and anti-blocking properties in water-based topcoats for leather and textile.

Featuring ultra-high molecular weight and silanol-functional silicone gum, these additives improve durability and enable long-lasting performance.

While Indusil™ 2670 silicone emulsion is developed with a non-ionic surfactant system, Indusil™ 2734 silicone emulsion incorporates a non-ionic/anionic surfactant system, offering tailored compatibility across different formulations.

Both products have a cyclic siloxane (D4, D5, D6) concentration below 1000 ppm and do not contain  Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

A standout feature of these additives is their excellent compatibility with water-based polyurethane and acrylic topcoat systems. They perform effectively at low addition levels, typically between 1–2%, which not only ensures optimal functionality but also reduces overall formulation costs.
